SEDAŞ SCADA Expansion Project

Under the SEDAŞ SCADA Expansion Project we designed and manufactured in-house the Hitachi Energy RTU530 based SCADA panels for 109 substations. Panel installation, cabling, loading of RTU configurations, commissioning of the communication infrastructure, SCADA integration and end-to-end Point-to-Point (PtP) testing were completed successfully on site. The project also covered the installation of 519 ABB REX615 protection relays, their parameterisation, IEC 61850 communication integration and commissioning into the SCADA system. Relay protection functions were verified with secondary current test sets, trip tests were performed, and the correct transfer of all status and command signals was confirmed through field testing. This work improved the reliability of remote monitoring, remote control and protection systems across the SEDAŞ electricity distribution network.
